Towns With Heart

Towns With Heart is a community based organisation working in Kurri Kurri and the surrounding areas of Abermain, Heddon Greta, Neath, Pelaw Main, Stanford Merthyr and Weston on projects that generate economic and social benefits for the community.

The Towns with Hearts program has identified three goals for Kurri Kurri:

(1)  Develop projects that bring more people into the town
(2)  Create and support events that promote the area
(3)  Diversify employment opportunities

Some of the projects undertaken by Towns With Heart include:

- Town of Murals Art Show
- Lost Diggers of Weston Photographic Exhibition

Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival

The annual Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival is all about Rock n Roll, Classic Cars, Hot rods, Fashion, Music, Dancing and everything good about the 50′s and 60′s.

The weekend attracts large crowds of people from all over Australia to join in the atmosphere as the town centre is transformed into all the glory of a bygone 50’s and 60’s era.

Kurri Kurri Visitor Centre and Gift Gallery

Located in the main street, the Kurri Kurri Visitor Information Centre and Gift Gallery caters for visitors to the area with information and advice about local attractions and businesses.

A wide range of souvenirs and gifts are also available for sale.

The friendly staff will assist with bookings for Mural Tours and packages.
