Built in 1883 of sandstock bricks and sandstone the historic Buchanan Public School served the community for eighty years. Set in two acres of grounds the teacher's residence and school, now the Gallery, have been restored to serve again, this time as a centre for craftwork for the Hunter Valley Region.

Bush Dance held most Saturday nights Buttai Barn offers friendly country hospitality and service in a truly breath taking setting. Buttai Barn caters for up to 300 and has a huge dance floor. Their chef uses fresh local produce and will design your individual menu. They spend a lot of time on the fine details to ensure your occasion runs smoothly.

Visitors are warmly welcome to play at Kurri Golf Club, either for a social round or in one of our competitions. The club runs competitions on Tuesday, Wednesday(ladies), Friday, Saturday and Sunday. To book a tee time or for any enquiries please call us on (02) 49371224.
